Our Indie Head Massage Courses and Services are based on the ancient Indian practice is based on the ancient Ayurvedic form of healing that dates back almost 4,000 years. It is considered a form of relaxation massage that addresses the back, neck, scalp and face using a variety of massage techniques. It helps to release stress and tension, creating a sense of peace and well-being. Our treatments typical last one hour and include the use of warm oils that are applied to the hair, scalp and skin. Indie Head Massage encompasses two separate treatments a scalp massage and a face massage and can be considered both a manual therapy and an aromatherapy treatment. This treatment is traditionally done in a seated position, but can be done in a lying down position for greater client comfort. It is recommended to leave the oil in the hair for a minimum of 2 hours and preferably overnight to maximize the benefits of the oils on the hair, scalp and skin.

Benefits: Promotes general relaxation. Alleviate stress, tension, fatigue, headaches and migraines. Helps to relieve mental tiredness, stress, anxiety and depression resulting in greater mental alertness, concentration and clearer thinking. Encourages deeper breathing and deep relaxation and increased sleep quality. The treatment may also help with Facial Pain, Sinus Headaches, Bell’s Palsy and Psoriasis of the scalp (scalp and hair treatment).

These are ideal treatments for most everyone including Children. All treatments include a consultation. Treatments are available with our Home Visit Services. We do NOT diagnose medical conditions or prescribe medications. As with all our treatments, if in doubt please consult with your physician. Please note that our treatments are not intended to replace conventional medicine and will not provide a cure for ailments.
